Graphic Art
This Gallery will cover all my Graphic Art not painted on Ceramic. I normally paint on 300Lb. Hot Press Paper, not only for the tight flatness when working with dry brush, but both Arches Aquarelle and Fabriano Artistico have a great ability for making wet-into-wet techniques very soft and ethereal. Due to its warmer tone, I prefer Arches for my Botanicals. The more Modern and Contemporary pieces are relatively current. I had originally painted a prototype nearly 20 years ago and there was something there that caught my eye. Like the Bold Colors in Glass, I can be free and loose with my new techniques and approach to Watercolors. The initial items had a total spontaneity to them since they were new. But as I developed more techniques and ideas, they have become more structured and layered in design. I do have several concepts and designs for more realistic art but bigger than the 22x30 area of a sheet of Watercolor Paper. So I will probably work with Acrylics at that time, since I really never was very fond of oils. Stop by again to see what is new each month, for this area is going to get a lot of attention in the next few years.
